Five Elements
Composed in 2020 for Violin and Guitar
Five Elements was commissioned by Duo46 in 2019 with the generous assistance of the Ontario Arts Council. I started with a musical fragment from Five Inspirations for solo guitar, written for Daniel Ramjattan in 2017, and developed that into Water”, the third movement. The rest of the piece was designed to flow toward or away from that movement. I am looking forward to the first performance.
