The Water Canticle
Arranged in 2000 for SATB and Piano
The Water Canticle is the second of two arrangements I did of music by Joanna Estelle, the other being Child of the Manger. It was commissioned by The Cantata Singers of Ottawa for their WaterCan concert in 2000 and premiered on Nov. 10, 2000.
The following recording was made in 2016 by the Ewashko Singers in Ottawa and is part of Joanna’s album of her music on the Navona label to be released in 2018. It is presented here with her permission. Copies will be available from Cypress Choral Music (Vancouver) in 2018.
